Is there a best day of the week to buy Bitcoin?
We dollar-cost-averaged $100 into Bitcoin every week since 2015 on each weekday. The best day (Thursday) beat the worst (Monday) by just 1.0% over the whole period — so the day of the week barely matters.
| Buying weekday | Average buy price | Value today |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | $1,710.34 | $2,189,087 |
| Tuesday | $1,707.97 | $2,192,119 |
| Wednesday | $1,694.07 | $2,210,114 |
| Thursday | $1,695.72 | $2,211,658 |
| Friday | $1,702.29 | $2,203,122 |
| Saturday | $1,700.26 | $2,202,060 |
| Sunday | $1,699.75 | $2,202,720 |
Method
For each weekday we invest $100 in Bitcoin every week from 2015 to June 2026 (about $59,600 in total) on that day only, using real daily closing prices (CryptoCompare histoday (free, public)). The gap between the best and worst weekday was just 1.0% over roughly eleven years — noise, not a strategy. Picking a “lucky” day doesn't beat simply buying consistently. Figures exclude fees and taxes and are not investment advice; past performance doesn't predict future results.
